Trunk or Treat

While we were home for Hudson's birthday, we took advantage of the trunk or treating that was happening in Everest.

This was Ollie's first trick or treating experience.  I will say that it was perfect for a kid his age.  There were probably a dozen vehicles and he easily walked to each of them.  He was content and happy.

We were joined by Riley's parents, my parents, and Haley.  It was a quick, fun experience that allowed everyone to see him in his costume doing his thing.
He's definitely the cutest dragon I've ever seen.

Hudson's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Hudson's birthday last weekend.

He loves tractors, so there was lots of John Deere green and yellow around the party.

He was all smiles with his Handy Manny birthday cake.

Playing on papa's tractor is a must anytime he is at their house, especially on his birthday.

Fall Photo Prep

We are planning on taking fall photos while we are in Horton this weekend.  Typically, we have Haley take the photos and recruit whoever we can to help with Oliver's cooperation.

We picked our outfits out tonight and Ollie is very pleased with how cute he looks.
Surprisingly he likes the hat and is leaving it on... so far anyway.
(He also says "hat" very clearly when we put it on him, so that is cute too.)

I've got two handsome boys ready for photos.  Hopefully these smiles continue through the pictures.

Mommy - Ollie Weekend

Riley went to Junction City to help his brother with his shop this past weekend, which meant that Ollie and I got some quality time together.

He woke up missing daddy and looking for him everywhere.  He is a daddy's boy, that's for sure.

It didn't take long for him to cheer up and be his normal, happy, silly self.

The weather has been so nice so we took advantage of it and went for a walk.  We found a pleasant little surprise on our walk.
Our town recently added a little free library.  Oliver loves books so I see this as a hot spot for future walks.
Most of our walks usually result in a stop at the park.  Our favorite in town is the park that is by the community building.

Ollie is all smiles anytime we are at a park.

As we finished our walk, I let Ollie out of his stroller.  I thought that walking the last block may help to wear him out a bit more so he would take a good nap.

It did wear him out, but unfortunately his little feet decided to run faster than he could keep up and he face planted on the street.
It could have been worse than it was, but I was thankful that it really wasn't too bad.  A little bloody nose and a scratch on his head.  Certainly won't be the last, I'm sure.

I decided it was time for the candy corn pajamas to make their appearance.  And boy, does he make them look cute.

On Sunday, Ollie and I went to church together in Wamgeo.  Afterwards we grabbed Subway and headed to the city park for a picnic.
He had a well-balanced meal that consisted of baked chips.

After lunch, we played at the park.
The Wamego City Park has an area for toddlers and he loved it.  Everything was just his size so he could climb with ease without needing any help, which he really enjoyed.  Mr. Independent.

Fall Decorations

Other than Christmas, fall is my favorite to decorate for.  I got these scarecrows several years ago at Hobby Lobby for like 90% off.  I think they are so cute and this year they happen to be just Oliver's size.

So he made friends with them :)
He also had to assist Riley too, of course.  Monkey see, monkey do.  Anything that Riley does, Oliver has to do too.
