Social Distancing - Week 2

We finished week 2 of social distancing!  This week I was busy with lots of school stuff.  Last Friday the kids and I went to school to pack up all the personal belongings of my preschool students.  This week I meet with admin and lower elementary staff to get our plan together for distance learning.  As a preschool teacher, I decided that paper materials would be better than using technology, so I had to have everything ready for pick up/drop off by Thursday.  I was on my computer planning and prepping at lot this week which meant the kids stayed busy doing activities like play-doh and coloring.

Daddy started working from home this week and Paisley has been taking advantage of daddy snuggles at any opportunity she has.  He, of course, can't say no.

Social Distancing - Week 1

This is definitely an interesting and unexpected time.  The week before last was Spring Break.  With being so pregnant, I had a list of projects I wanted to get done as well as doing some fun things with the kids.  We met my friend, Annette and her kids one day in Manhattan for some time at the park and lunch at McAlister's.  Other that that outing, we stayed home.

Last Saturday we received notification that school would be closed for two weeks due to Covid-19.  Then on Tuesday, Governor Kelly announced that schools would be shutting down for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year and we were to begin implementing distance learning.

Right now there is a lot up in the air, but we are stuck at home doing our part to social distance.  We are trying to make the best of a very unusual situation.  Here are some photos from our first week:

Making Kool Aid Play-Doh

Mani & Pedi

Paint w/ Water

Daddy helping to build and paint wooden cars.

Paisley helping to make peanut butter blossoms.  She loves to bake!

It wasn't quite picnic weather, but we tried...and failed and had to come inside because we were cold.

Oliver loves doing big floor puzzles and is pretty good at them.  Paisley is learning.
