Holiday Fun - Christmas Lights & Gingerbread Houses

We continued the tradition of looking at Christmas lights in Manhattan and hit up McAlister's for supper first.  This picky little eater LOVES McAlister's!  She usually always eats all of her mac 'n cheese and applesauce.

The kiddos changed into matching jammies and I ran into Starbucks for hot chocolate.

Eden was happy as a clam with her Starbucks cup with about an inch of water.

We gave Gingerbread Houses a try for the first time this year.

This was a great use of our major stash of Halloween candy.

It kept everyone busy for a very long time!

Eden mainly just ate everything she could get her hands on.

Christmas Fun - Elf

I decided it was way past time in introducing the kids to one of my favorite Christmas movies - Elf!

When it got to the scene where Buddy makes himself breakfast, we paused it and tried out Buddy's special breakfast pasta complete with rainbow sprinkles, M&Ms, marshmallows, maples syrup, chocolate syrup, and a side of chocolate pop tarts.

Oliver liked everything except the pasta.
Paisley preferred the chocolate pop tart.
Eden played with the empty M&M package for 30 minutes.

Christmas Lights

As the kids get older, I've been trying to come up with fun, new traditions to make a part of their lives.  I thought It would be fun to head to Manhattan for some fun Christmas lights.  We started at the Festival of Lights.

We stopped by Target really quick to pick up some diapers and treated ourselves to some hot chocolate.

Oliver and Paisley's first Starbucks (and probably Paisley's last).

About 20 seconds after the previous photos, Paisley squeezes her cup which results in a huge hot chocolate mess.  In her words, "I squeezed my cup and it blasted all over everywhere!"  Yes, Paisley, yes it did.

She was obviously pretty sad about being pantless!

Eden joined us too and was screaming through the whole hot chocolate debacle.  Oliver definitely won the Good Kid Award for the day!

Roadside peeing in the nicest neighborhood in Manhattan; way to keep in classy, Pais!
