(Warning, photo overload!)
Maternity leave has come and (unfortunately) gone as I'll be returning to work tomorrow. I so enjoyed my time home with my little munchkins.
We got into a great routine that I'm really going to miss. We would hang out for the morning, get around and get dressed, and load up to head downtown. Once downtown, we would go for a 30-45 minute walk and then stop at the park so Ollie could play. We would then load up, go home for lunch, and take our afternoon naps.
Afternoon snacks were always a must after nap time.
A couple of times at the beginning of maternity leave, Ollie went to daycare. I was planning on sending him a couple times a week, but it turned out her only went a couple times. He was a big helper to me at home and was patient when I needed to do something with Paisley. His potty training also stayed on track so that was a big blessing.
He he is with a big watermelon (his favorite!) at Teresa's house :)
I'm convinced that there is nothing better than little baby snuggles.
More trips to the park and stroller rides!
Maternity leave was also spent finishing up Paisley's room. It's still not completely finished. Poor second child.
Ollie developed some strange napping habits and preferred the floor rather than his bed.
One morning walk got interrupted by the rain. Of course, the only option was to have donuts instead. These donut holes were huge!
Speaking of food...this boy has been eating a ton lately, not sure if it's a growth spurt or what, but he is always in to chowing down.
I had been looking forward to my maternity leave for many reasons... I worked all summer and was ready for a break...I had some projects that I wanted to get done around the house...and I was anxiously awaiting snuggles with my new little baby girl. However, one of the most enjoyable things was spending time with Ollie. He's always been a daddy's boy, but spending 6 weeks with him at home really allowed us to bond too. I got lots of after-nap snuggles in with him which are typically reserved only for daddy. We laughed and played together, and really just had lots of fun!
And oh how I'll miss spending the whole day with this sweet little one.
