Eden's Nursery

Since Eden has been sleeping in her room for a while now, I figured it was time to take some photos of her nursery.  Although I love Paisley's room in its bright Very Hungry Caterpillar colors, I wanted something different for Eden.  I decided on a llama and cactus them with lots of pink and green.  I love how it turned out!

Three Months Old

Our little Edie girl, as Paisley lovingly calls her, is now 3 months.  She continues to sleep through the night, but is now in her own room.  We have figured her out a little bit more and are able to cut down on her little crying fits.  Gas drops seem to really help her so we are assuming she was having some tummy troubles.  She still loves to be swaddled and I have a feeling that it will be a difficult thing to break.  Whenever she is overly tired or fussy, a loose swaddle calms her down almost instantly.

She does not have a well-check for 3 months, but she had her 2 month well check a couple weeks ago.  Ollie and Pais were always at the bottom of the growth charts, but this one is topping them.  Perhaps she inherited more of the Wellman genes in terms of size as opposed to the other two getting the Richling genes.  She fills out her 0-3 month clothes pretty well!  I think sizing her up again is right around the corner.

Eden is a good little eater and unfortunately quite the pooper too.  Paisley calls her a little pooper girl, haha.  She often blow out of her diaper and goes through multiple diapers in a 20 minute period - usually while I'm nursing her.

She's really chunking up!

4th of July

4th of July wouldn't be the same without red, white, and blue themed desserts.

Wearing our flag's colors is also a must.

At this point I gave up on a group photo and decided that individual pictures would be better this year!

We took part in the annual fishing derby again this year... and again, no luck with actually catching any fish.

Paisley was more interested in the chocolate milk and powdered donuts that grandma brought.

Oliver was starting to get pretty down about not catching a fish... then they came around with root beer float and happiness was restored!  (And for daddy too as he finished them off after the kids were done with them.)

We ventured down the the grade school parking lot to watch Horton's fireworks at the lake.  It sounded like a good idea at the time.  Oliver and Paisley got overly tired and whiny waiting for the fireworks to begin, but did like watching them.  Their normal bedtime is 8:00, but we didn't get laid down until nearly 11:00.  Needless to say, the next day was a disaster with overemotional kids, especially Paisley.  Perhaps next year we will watch some fireworks videos on YouTube and call it a day.

Oliver's First Year of T-ball

Unfortunately Oliver missed out on soccer this spring because of Covid-19, but thankfully he was able to play t-ball this summer.  It was a short, but hot season.  I didn't do a very good job taking photos at his game - mostly because I was busy with the two girls.  Here's what we were able to capture:

The coaches pitched to the kids for their last two games.  At his final game, he had a great hit off the coach's first pitch!
