Summer Snapshots

Grandma Joyce was finally able to meet our newest addition.

We walked to Grandma Joyce's from my parents' house and Oliver simply couldn't bear to make it back by walking.  Luckily his cousin shared his stroller with him.

Eden is holding her head up more and more.  She's tried out the bumbo a handful of times, usually only lasting about 5 minutes before she's had enough.

At a little over ten weeks old, Eden slept in her room for the first night.  She slept for over ten hours and has been pretty consistent since then.  Most times she makes it clear through the night and sometimes I even have to wake her in the morning so she can go to daycare.

Although Paisley continues to be our wild child and will undoubtedly make us lose a lot of sleep at night, she is such a great big sister to Eden.

Father's Day was a low-key day on home and that was just fine with Riley.  We gifted him with a Line-x spray in bed liner and a cookie cake.  Let's be honest - the cookie cake was more for me and the kids.  He ate some, but we ate way more.  What can I say, they are a definite favorite.

Eden had her 2 month well check towards the end of June.  She was a champ with her shots and only cried for a minute.

Riley had a little snip snip so I gifted him with these care package items.  He was grateful for the snacks and got a kick out of the funny puns.  I'm still not sure if I'm a wonderful wife or a terrible one.

Monthly Family Dinner

A new thing was started this month with the Wellman family.  As things get busier and busier with out own little family, we haven't been able to spend as much time with extended family.  I have so many memories with all my cousins at my grandparents' house in Meriden.  Lately though it seems like I only get to see everyone on that side of the family a couple times a year and its usually a super chaotic time like Christmas.  My Aunt Rhonda suggested that we start having monthly get togethers and I really loved the idea.  So the second Sunday of each month we are going to get together at somebody's house.  My dad's brother, Roy and his wife, Heather hosted the first one.

Riley and his dad were busy laying our new flooring that weekend so it worked out well for me to take the kids and get out of the mess.  It was a hot day so all the water fun was perfect for the kids!

Pineapple Cuties

If you know me, you know I love me some coordinating outfits.
This year we all (yes, all - Riley included) have pineapple swimwear.

Cute Girls

As I packed up newborn clothes for the last time (sniff, sniff) I realized that Eden never got to wear this outfit.  It was one of my favs and Paisley wore it often so I just had to put Eden in it.

Paisley was only a month old in this photo and Eden is two months old and busting out of it.

Two Months Old

Eden continues to be a pretty laid back baby.  She is starting to smile a lot more, but also letting us know when she isn't pleased.  Typically around 7:30 each evening she gets overly tired and fussy, but other than that she remains pretty chill.

Daycare was a bit of a rough start mainly due to such a change in schedule.  She started attending regularly on June 1 with a wake up time around 6:00 as opposed to her regular 7:30/8:00.  She is getting used to it, slowly.  She has slept through the night several times which is always appreciated.

Just last week I sized Eden up from her newborn clothes to 0-3 month.  If I'm remembering correctly, her siblings were in newborn clothes for more than three months so she just might be breaking the cycle of tininess.  Her two month well-check is next week so we will have to wait til then to see how big she really is.
