Summer Fun

Most teachers have the summers off, but as a preschool teacher I have a summer camp.  My hours change a bit and we actually have to get up earlier in the summer, but that also means we get home a little earlier too.

Even though I work during the summer, I still try to carve out some special time with the kiddos making memories.  I didn't do a very good job about blogging about them along the way...so here is a mega post with photos from our various adventures this past summer.

We met up with my friend, Annette, and her two little ones for a quick Orange Leaf treat.  Her oldest, Camden is months older than Ollie, but he has Ollie beat in the height department.

Sometimes those summer months are just too hot and staying inside in the AC is best.

Play-doh is always fun.

We hit up just about every park in a 30 mile radius from our home.

Ollie became a sous-chef and french toast sticks are his specialty.

I had a Pampered Chef party with my friend and co-worker, Morgan.  The kids enjoyed the box and "pops" best of all.

We also spent some time at the Splash Park in Manhattan.  We went on a really hot day, but the water was absolutely freezing.  Paisley was not a fan and Ollie wasn't too sure about it either.

Manhattan's City Park made for a perfect way to dry off after the splash park since mommy forgot to take towels.

McAllister's and Orange Leaf are sort of our go-to places and they are within walking distance of each other... we visited both many times this summer.

Always such a good big brother offering to share with his little sister.

Good to the last drop.

Some co-workers of mine had a little back-to-school BBQ before school got back in session.  Ollie got to meet and make friends with Jax who is just a month younger than he is.
