Halloween Surprise

We've shared the news of our other pregnancies with our families on holidays, so we wanted to stick with that tradition. There really aren't many holidays around this time so we've had to wait longer than we usually would.  I was ok with waiting an extended amount of time to share given the way that our previous pregnancy ended, but it was a difficult secret to keep especially hiding my growing bump.  Luckily fall weather is a great opportunity for extra layers and hoodies.

On Halloween I was just a touch over 16 weeks along.  Paisley was going to be a donut for Halloween and Ollie was to be a donut maker.

This couldn't have worked out more perfectly because at 16 weeks baby is the size of a donut!!

Halloween was on a Thursday and I didn't have school the following day so we loaded up after school and work to head to Horton for some surprise trick or treating.  Before leaving our house, we told the kids!

We were taking a chance showing up without them knowing and I'll admit I had it in my head that it very well could be a disaster.  First stop was my parents' house.  As we approached the house we suspected that my dad was in the shop since lights were on.  We stopped there first and got him, sent him in the house first telling my mom that they had some trick-or-treaters.

Next we headed to Riley's parents.
