Weekend of Visitors

This past weekend was a busy one full of visitors.

Derrick and Heidi hadn't met Paisley yet so they had planned to come to visit on Saturday.  It quickly turned into a whole crew with Riley's parents, grandmas, uncle, brothers, sister-in-laws, and nephews.  We decided that we would just make it a celebration for Derrick's upcoming birthday.  Marcia brought all the food so it was a pretty stress-free visit.

Saturday was full of family and then our Sunday was full of friends.

Krista, Adam, and Max stopped by Saturday afternoon on their way back home.  We loved seeing them, catching up, and snuggling with baby Max.

Saturday evening Jacob, Maddy, and Allie joined us for supper.  We had a great time like always.  It will be so fun to watch and experience our kids grow up together.

Big Brother

Oliver has adjusted so well to being a big brother.  We've had lots of visitors swooning over Paisley and he really hasn't shown any signs of jealously at this point.

He is always checking on her and wants to know what she is doing.  When she cries he tries to help comfort her and give her a paci.  (We do have to keep an eye on his "helping" though as he tried to cover her up by wrapping a blanket around her head.  He also keeps trying to share his food with her.  Just the other day, I caught him trying to put a raisin in her mouth!)

He loves to hold her :)

And kiss her too!

Paisley's First Bath

Several days ago, Paisley had her first bath... needless to say, she was not a fan.
Since then, her other baths have been much more enjoyable.  We've learned she likes pretty warm water, but still hates being lotioned- up afterwards.

Two Days Old

Sunday was our first full day at home with our new little bundle of joy.

We began our morning with a trip to Manhattan to go back to the hospital.  Part of the terms of our hospital discharge was that we would have to come back to have her bilirubin test redone.  This was a huge surprise to us since she didn't look at all yellow.  (Oliver looked slightly yellow when he was born, but he passed his test with no problems.)  The nurse explained to us that as each day passes the bilirubin allowance goes up.  Since we only spent one night in the hospital (two with Ollie) the allowable level was a really low number.

She passed her test and we were able to head right back home... right back home to lots of baby snuggles and photo ops.

Such a good big brother already.

Meeting Paisley

We had lots of people who were exited to meet little Miss Paisley.
Our parents were all anxiously awaiting their time to meet their granddaughter.

Finally a girl for this set of grandparents!

Big brother was all about holding her.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Riley and Paisley.  We also didn't get a family picture either :(
The only picture of Paisley and daddy is this one that I snapped when they were both snoozing.

Paisley was born on Friday and we were able to leave the hospital Saturday afternoon.  Even though our stay was pretty short, we had lots of smiling faces coming to visit.

Aunt Haley was up first on Saturday.

Her adorable Nike hat that Aunt Haley gave her was just a tad bit big.

Uncle Shelby and Aunt Jaime were able to visit as well.

My Aunt Rhonda, Grandpa Ron, and Grandma Betty also stopped by the hospital.  I was busy finishing up my lunch and chatting that I didn't get any photos.

Sarah, Eric, and Hudson were the last of our hospital visitors.  They came as we were getting discharged, but we were glad to see them and happy to have their help loading the car :)

Miss Paisley dressed up and ready to go home.
